THE FIGHT FACTORY

"The MMA lifestyle social network and everything else that's cool"

Not understanding what the xmas period is(time for fatting up, drink and being lazy infront of the tv), the Lads down in Lisburn have been plugging away and have totaled up to this stage 7 wins and 1 draw to this stage with another fight on Sunday still to come.
Andy Feris and Billy "the wizard" Hunter did me a favour by not even letting it leave the first round in carick and letting me get to work only being 15mins late
Ali "under the thumb" McClean and I featured on the BAMMA2 show in London both going the distance and Walking out with a win and a split draw with great corning skill from Bangor's clubs instructor Anto "daddy strength is on pre order" Mcilroy
Then last night was alot more stressfull for myself as 4 of the fighters went a total of a total of 10 rounds with 1 trophie armbar, one "Mal" choke and 2 judges score cards to make it a 4-0 night. Well done to new champ Mark Uprichard, Mal "Choke" and Damo "nelly was right, it's too hot in here" McFall and Finally Stevie "Hotrocks"/"My legs have gone walkies" Johnson.
Finally Stringer has acompanied Roddock (I dont know how to spell his actual name and aint going to try incase i offend him) to fight in Liverpool on Sunday and send him all the best at bring home another "W". As people like to say on these forums "WWWWAAAAARRRRRR!"
Cheers to Tom Lamont and all the boys from the club for sparring and helpping to contrubute to win. And a personal thanks to all the boys I was doing the corners for and who helped me do this for listening, putting up with me running about.
See you all soon

A big thanks has to go to Pete for his cornering skills, which includes the motivational speeches between rounds. After running around the cage with my opponent on my back for two rounds Pete convinced me that he was "blowing out through his ass" and that I should be on him from the bell, so I jumped on him, kept the pressure on and got the win.

Everyone did brilliantly and I'm sure they'd agree that all the hard training paid off. It was definitely tough in there and the heat made it even tougher to get through the rounds! When Tom shouts in training "this is how you feel when your winning the fight" he's spot on, I'm sure Hotrocks would agree with that one.

Mal got the ball rolling with a neat little choke from his back in the first round after some clean striking on the feet.

Hotrocks dominated a very tough opponent who just didn't stop coming at him. Non-stop action from start to finish, it was tiring just watching it. Stevie just sucked it up and got back out there and went hell for leather all three rounds.

My turn next. A much larger opponent than I expected made the takedown difficult but I stayed on him and got takedown after takedown without taking any damage! Second round I had alot more success on the sub-hunt and thought I had him but he was saved by the bell. I jumped on him in the third, kept the pressure on and got the takedown. From there I got a tight armbar and finished the fight.

Mark was last up fighting for the Lightweight trophy and he put on a striking school and thoroughly dominated a very tough opponent. A stiff jab and hard hooks put his opponent down time after time and Mark took very little punishment in return. Three dominating rounds gave Mark a unanimous decision for the Win!

Man with genitals in pipe

A man who went to casualty with his penis stuck in a steel pipe had to be cut free by firefighters using a metal grinder.
Medics at Southampton General Hospital could not get the man's penis out of the stainless steel pipe because the restricted blood flow had caused it to become aroused, so they called in Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service.
They turned up with a special equipment unit from St Mary's station in Southampton and seven firefighters to help in what a spokesman said was a "delicate operation". The firefighters used the four-and-a-half-inch grinder to cut the pipe from around the man's penis and it took about 30 minutes. The patient was given an anaesthetic and his penis was left bruised and swollen but otherwise unharmed. The anxious man, aged about 40, gave hospital staff no explanation about how the pipe got stuck after he turned up on Tuesday morning. A Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: "Initially the crew did not have the appropriate cutting equipment to free the man. "It was a very delicate operation that required a very steady hand and the crew was worried about things getting too hot during the cutting. "It's certainly an unusual call-out and I'm sure the man won't be getting into that situation again."

Really...seriously?
