Dan Hardy lays into Marcus Davis - again

Dan Hardy lays into Marcus Davis - again

Dan ‘The Outlaw’ Hardy has laughed of Marcus Davis’ claims that he has been sending him email abuse ahead of their UFC 99 fight - before verbally laying into him again.

"If I want to insult the guy, I will do it to his face, in a public forum. I wouldn't waste my energy insulting him in private,” Hardy told Setanta Sports this week.

Davis recently appeared on Setanta’s UFC show Ultimate Talk and said Hardy had sent him several unkind emails, one of which included the observation that his website “looks like a St. Patrick‘s Day Gift Shop“.

The Irish-American welterweight said Hardy was genuinely getting under his skin with such comments, before firing back with his own criticisms of Hardy’s Mohawk and “bad teeth”.

“I did love his comments about my bad teeth,” laughed Hardy. “The reality is, even if I did have bad teeth, I can hide them, but he can’t do anything about his face.”

He also said Davis “sounds delusional… [he is] saying he is better at every range than me. His strengths are running away and bleeding, two things he will be doing a lot of, come June 13th."

While he might be denying that he sent Davis any abusive emails, Hardy has pulled no punches in his interviews.

He has variously described Davis as old, slow, and past it, while at the same time mocking his claims to Irish heritage by labelling him a “plastic Paddy”.

The end result will be a real grudge match when the two meet at UFC 99. Davis has compared the Hardy build-up to that which preceded his fight with Jess Liaudin.

Liaudin angered Davis by describing him as a fake Irishman, but was put away in just over a minute by the Sidyodtong fighter.

Man with genitals in pipe

A man who went to casualty with his penis stuck in a steel pipe had to be cut free by firefighters using a metal grinder.
Medics at Southampton General Hospital could not get the man's penis out of the stainless steel pipe because the restricted blood flow had caused it to become aroused, so they called in Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service.
They turned up with a special equipment unit from St Mary's station in Southampton and seven firefighters to help in what a spokesman said was a "delicate operation". The firefighters used the four-and-a-half-inch grinder to cut the pipe from around the man's penis and it took about 30 minutes. The patient was given an anaesthetic and his penis was left bruised and swollen but otherwise unharmed. The anxious man, aged about 40, gave hospital staff no explanation about how the pipe got stuck after he turned up on Tuesday morning. A Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: "Initially the crew did not have the appropriate cutting equipment to free the man. "It was a very delicate operation that required a very steady hand and the crew was worried about things getting too hot during the cutting. "It's certainly an unusual call-out and I'm sure the man won't be getting into that situation again."

Really...seriously?
